Lot 2095 VERY RARE REMINGTON NYLON 76 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.
Cal. 22 LR. S# NSN. Bbl. chromed 19 5/8" with black alloy "shark fin" blade front sight; blued adjustable rear sight incorporated into the front section of the chromed receiver cover having integral grooves for scope mounting. Mfg. June 1963 (1962-1964) as the only lever action firearm ever made by Remington. Especially rare with its Apache black nylon stock plus chromed barrel and receiver cover. Of 25,312 Nylon 76's made, only 1,615 had chrome finish. Stock has checkered panels plus white diamonds on forend. Model designation is molded into the grip cap. Initial advertising by Remington referred to the Nylon 76 as a "Trail Rider" model. CONDITION: very presentable example with light marks throughout its plating. Stock is very good to excellent with very minimal, faint handling marks. Minimal finish remaining on front sight. Near excellent bore. PROVENANCE: From the PMRB Collection. (25-5942/NW).
